The San Diego Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is proud to present the NDIA 31st Annual Department of the Navy Gold Coast Small Business Procurement Event. Gold Coast is the largest small business exposition focused on the DoN in the U.S. The Event is a premier forum to educate, guide, and assist small to large businesses in support of the warfighter mission within the DoN and throughout the Department of Defense. Last year, over 1800 local, national and international participants attended and over 60 organizations were recognized signed up as sponsors.
This year’s theme: Engaging with Small Business to Fortify National Defense.
Leaders from both government and industry will discuss critical policy, programs and maritime service issues in insightful panels, workshops and networking events to identify how to meet DoN needs with cutting edge solutions. On the exhibit floor, attendees have an opportunity to connect with over 200 government agencies and industry organizations, including Acquisition Professionals from the 10 Navy Systems Commandsacquisition commands. One-on-one matchmaking sessions provide a unique opportunity for industry personnel to meet key government procurement authorities. As the only DoN co-sponsored procurement event, Gold Coast is invaluable for everyone interested in growing their business through defense contracting.
U.S. small businesses serve as a catalyst for economic development, provide employment opportunities, and drive new ideas and innovations. To nurture their important role in the economy, the Federal Government has established programs and annual small business contracting goals for prime and subcontract dollars. The intent is to ensure that small businesses have opportunities to fulfill the public policy objectives of the Federal government and provide warfighters access to a source of innovative products and services.
