Capt. Katy Boehme
PMW 160 Major Program Manager
CAPT Catherine W. Boehme, a native of Cheboygan, Michigan, earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a commission from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1998. She holds a Masters of Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a graduate of the Nuclear Propulsion Pipeline training. She transferred into the Engineering Duty Officer community in November 2005.
CAPT Boehme’s sea tours include USS TICONDEROGA (CG 47) as the Combat Information Center Officer where she qualified Surface Warfare Officer, and USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) as Reactor Laboratories Division Officer and One Plant Reactor Electrical Division Officer, qualifying Propulsion Plant Watch Officer and Engineering Officer of the Watch of an A4W reactor plant.
CAPT Boehme began her acquisition career while assigned to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Space Field Activity (SSFA) in Chantilly, Virginia, in support of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and the acquisition of national overhead communications and intelligence systems. As an Engineering Duty Officer and Space Cadre member, CAPT Boehme has held both systems engineering and program management leadership roles in SSFA and in the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I), to include the Navy Multiband Terminal Wideband Assistant Program Manager in the Communications and GPS Navigation Program Office (PMW/A 170), the Automatic and Interactive Mapping Program Manager in the Mission Processing System Program Office (NRO) and the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services Development APM in the Tactical Networks Program Office.
CAPT Boehme has served as the SPAWAR Mideast Detachment OIC attached to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain, coordinating Navy C4I installations in the CENTCOM AOR. She has also served as the Executive Officer and Senior Course Director of the Engineering Duty Officer School located in Port
Hueneme, California. CAPT Boehme most recently served as the Deputy Program Manager of the Communications and GPS Navigation Program Office (PMW/A 170) at the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I) in San Diego, California.
CAPT Boehme currently serves as the Program Manager of the Tactical Networks Program Office (PMW 160) at PEO C4I, responsible for program management of the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), and the Enterprise Pier Connectivity Architecture (EPCA) programs.
Her personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various unit commendation and service awards.
