Katie Clark, District Director – US Small Business Administration – Katie Clark is a former U.S. Coast Guard officer and MBA graduate of UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management, with leadership experience across maritime operations, search and rescue, and Marine Transportation System safety, including in support of commercial space launch operations. During her Coast Guard career, she led multidisciplinary teams, managed high-profile partnerships with organizations including FAA, DoD, NASA, and SpaceX, and coordinated operations supporting more than 50 commercial space launches. A graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy, she served as two-year team captain of the women’s soccer team and president of the Management Association. She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. Outside of work, Katie enjoys surfing, hiking, boating, and exploring Southern California with her family. She is currently working towards her professional mariner’s license.
